Prayer Time

It is now prayer time in room 3, we all gather together to say thank you to the Lord for his greatness and all the things he has given to us.

Miss G lit the candles, we put the purple cloth down, as well as the Bible. We come together in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit. Miss G picks two people for the week to read the prayer’s and blow out the candles.

We all listen to the two people that say the prayer’s that other people have decorated nicely. Everybody loves prayer time and so do I, it is fun to pray because you can talk to God. The two students  ask Room 3 to say the “Our Father”. It is now time to finish prayer time for the day. We come together in the name of the Father  and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Diggity.

I knelt beside/ Next to Diggity.  He made no effort/ attempt to get up.  His neck was a pulpy mass/ a lump of blood, and his rib cage rose and fell unevenly/  bumpily  .  Dad scooped/picked him up into his arms and staggered/ walk falteringly  up the beach.  Mum and Lucy were already in the car with the hatch/ boot up and engine running.  The vet said Diggity had lost heaps/ loads of blood.  The outlook/ the view wasn’t good.  When the phone rang/buzzed later that evening, nobody was in a hurry to answer/reply to it.  But Diggity did survive.

Netbook Rollout

On the 2nd of February it was a very exciting day for Room 3.... can you guess why? WE WERE GETTING OUR  VERY FIRST NETBOOKS!!!! The reason why we were getting them that day was so that we could get our user names and passwords and to have a bit of  fun for the first time.

The netbooks were in a box so we had wait for instructions from Miss G. As she was telling the class what to do, the class was following her very carefully. Soon the netbook read, “This is the point of no return, Do you want to proceed?” Everyone clicked yes.

After that Miss G let us play games for the rest of the afternoon.
Everyone was really excited but some people had to put their netbooks back into their boxes because they hadn’t paid their deposit for it yet.

Peculiar Person

I’m a most peculiar person,
As almost everyone knows.
I’ve a crown on the top of my head,
And nails grow out of my toes.

I’ve eardrums that help me hear.
And eyeballs that help me see,
And there’s even a mole on the tip of my nose,
Yes, there’s nobody quite like me.

I’ve got ‘mussels’ that grow in my arms and my legs,
And shoulder blades on my back.
I’ve a rib-cage to hold my heart in -
There’s really not much that I lack.

There’s a button that does up my tummy,
And my funny-bone keeps me amused.
When I look at myself in the mirror,
It’s no wonder I feel confused.

I’m a most unusual person,
And even my doctor agrees,
For that’s what he said when he came to examine
The caps that I have on my knees.

And I sometimes get pins and needles,
When it’s raining cats and dogs,
But what else could you really expect,
From a person whole throat’s full of frogs!

Charism

This week we have been looking at Charism. Our school emblem represents the Holy Faith Sisters.
Margret Alyward started our school in 1958, and started our school to help little children.
I have drawn the Emblem.
